The Payson FamilySearch Center is currently closed for renovation. Reopening is expected in March 2025. Presently, limited assistance is available by appointment only. Call Stephen Allison (928-478-6011). Once reopened, the new hours of operation will be:

Tuesday – 10 am to 2 pm
Wednesday – 5 pm to 8 pm
Friday – 10 am to 2 pm
Sunday – 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

A community-wide celebration and Open House will occur on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 1 to 5pm. Presentations will include how to create an online family tree from scratch featuring local Payson celebrities. We will have multiple exhibits on the history of Arizona, Rim Country, the Tonto Apache Tribe, and the Northern Gila County Genealogical Society. There will be genealogical activities for children and demonstrations of how to do family history work using cell phones. Attendees will be able to visit the newly renovated FamilySearch Center where consultants will be ready to help visitors establish a free account and get started on their own family trees.
